MINISTRIES

KIDS-FOR-CHRIST (CHILDREN'S MINISTRY)
Kids For Christ (KFC) is a children’s ministry catered for children aged 2 to 12. It is our prayer and aim that every child that comes through our doors will grow to ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind’; and ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ Luke 10:27 (GNT)
Our weekly lessons, conducted using our in-house curriculum, consist of praise and worship, followed by bible stories (through skits, puppetry and/or videos), object lessons and small group discussions. Children are grouped according to their ages to ensure that discussions and activities conducted within the small groups are age-appropriate and relevant to them so they can better understand how God’s Word can be applied in their daily lives.
KFC is not just a place where children learn more about God’s Word. It is also where they build meaningful relationships with their teachers and friends. Our regular bonding sessions where they play games and have fun, Faith-In-Action partnership with external organisations and special events like Children’s Day celebrations are platforms for the children to work together and know each other better!
We meet every Saturday from 4pm - 6pm. We look forward to having your child join us at KFC!

SCHOOL CHAPLAINCY
MINISTRY
SJCp oversees the pastoral care for the SMS(S) girls through initiatives like Lighthouse, AGAPE Club CCA and Girls' Brigade CCA.
ā
AGAPE club is a weekly gathering for Christian fellowship.
Lighthouse is a drop in for the SMS(S) girls during recess and after school, where chaplaincy staff connect with girls over conversation and playing games.
SJCp is the sponsoring church for the following Boys' Brigade (BB) and Girls' Brigade (GB) companies:
64th BB (Ang Mo Kio Secondary School)
31st GB (St. Margaret's School (Secondary))
52P GB 52J BB (Pei Tong Primary School)
59P GB 59J BB (Greenridge Primary School)
We organise various BB and GB activities, using Biblical teachings to instil this in the boys and girls: “Build yourself up by growing in wisdom, so that you know how to invest your time and effort; build others up by developing courage, so that you can be a model for right living.”
Our goal is to enable them to navigate the complexities of life and it's challenges to fulfil the calling of Life as God intends it to be.

SENIORS MINISTRY
(SAF – SENIORS ACTIVE FELLOWSHIP)
āGray Hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life. Proverbs 16:31
We meet weekly on Wednesday from 10am to 12:30pm. Coming together in a meaningful way remains top of mind in our gathering to share life stories, playing games, physical and mental exercises, learning music using bells and ukulele, crafts and ending the meeting with food sharing. Regular attendees are from both English & Chinese congregations and our neighbourhood friends. Our ministry has also provided respite care to relieve especially helpers of seniors by allowing them to have healthy interaction with others without social stigma. They participate freely alongside their care-recipients in all activities. We believe in continuous learning as we age gracefully … “Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in length of days.” Job 12:12

PRAISE & WORSHIP
MINISTRY
Being on the worship team is a privilege, and a blessing. It’s not something to be taken lightly. While it is exciting and rewarding to be in this ministry, it requires a lot of hard work. Our Sunday (also Saturday) worship is our overflow from our own worship during the week. Hence, it is not just the Praise Leader who is leading the congregation to worship, but every single member of the band.
We cannot lead people to somewhere we have not been to ourselves. Our own personal worship at home with God is so important before coming to lead others. And while we recognize the importance of a pure heart, we also recognize the need to have enough skills so that we can follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The Praise and Worship Ministry of St. John’s Chapel consists of vocalists, musicians, the choir and the audio visual team.

CHOIR
We are a supportive and encouraging singing community, believing that anyone can sing for the Lord, and when different voices come together to sing praises to God, beautiful harmony is created as a fragrant offering to Him. Our singing in harmony is our reflection of gratefulness to God, who in His omniscience and omnipotence not only created Heaven and Earth but reconciled us to Him through Jesus Christ, our Saviour. For this reason, we are inspired to sing with rejoicing to the Lord. It is our hope that through the hymns and spiritual songs, God’s steadfast love will be made known and His name will be glorified!
ā
We warmly welcome anyone who loves to sing for the Lord to join us!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Psalm 150:6)
The choir meets for practice and fellowship as follows:
• Saturday (fortnightly) – 2:30 – 4pm
• Sunday (weekly) – 8am – 8:45am; 11am – 12:30pm

HOME CELL MINISTRY
We gather in our home cells for a time of praise, testimonies of thanksgivings, discussion over scripture, encouraging and praying for one another.
We currently have 12 home cells comprised of young adults, families and seniors.
Located north, east, central, west of Singapore.
We meet weekly/fortnighty.

MARRIAGE & FAMILY LIFE MINISTRY
Marriage and Family Life Ministry is a vital arm of the church dedicated to strengthening marriages and nurturing godly families according to biblical principles. Since the family is the foundation of both the church and society, this ministry seeks to promote healthy relationships, spiritual growth, and moral stability within Christian homes. By supporting couples, parents, children, and single individuals, the church fulfills its calling to build strong families that honor God and reflect Christ’s love.
ā
Marriage and family life are ordained by God from creation. Scripture teaches that marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman, designed for companionship, unity, procreation, and mutual support (Genesis 2:18–24; Malachi 2:14). The Christian family is called to mirror the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22–33), while parents are instructed to raise children in the fear and instruction of the Lord (Deuteronomy 6:6–7; Ephesians 6:4).
ā
The Marriage and Family Life Ministry exists to:
-
Teach biblical principles on marriage and family living
-
Prepare couples for marriage through premarital counseling
-
Strengthen existing marriages through education and prayer
-
Equip parents with godly parenting skills
-
Provide pastoral care and support to families in crisis
-
Promote Christian values in relationships and home lifeā
